Summer Bishil was born in New York City. The actress is most famous for her character, Margo Hanson on Syfy's fantasy show The Magicians. The actress gained recognition for her role as a character in Towelhead in the role of Jasira Marroun an American-Lebanese teenager aged 13 who's thrown into turmoil by the U.S. military invasion of Iraq. Then, in 2007 Variety named her among its top 10 actors to watch. The 2009 movie Crossing Over, in which she played the strong character Taslima Jhangir, was nominated by the Independent Spirit Award as the best female lead. Other film roles she has played include the film Moozlum The Last Airbender Pop Star, Under the Silver Lake, as well as several guest appearances on television.
